This charming « maisonnette » is an independent construction situated on a quiet courtyard away from the street. It has been tastefully renovated in natural materials (stone, wood, linen) in December 2008 and has every modern convenience to assure a peaceful and comfortable stay.
The living room is lit by a window and a glass door that look onto the courtyard. There is a settee that converts into a double bed (W140cm), a side table with lamp, a chest of drawers, an upholstered armchair and a table with two chairs. A wall mounted flat screen cable TV has international channels and there is an unlimited Internet connection with WIFI. The telephone has free calls to numerous destinations.
Near the door there is a modern kitchenette with two electric hotplates, a fume hood, a microwave, a refrigerator with an integrated freezer.
In an alcove separated from the living room by linen curtains there is a comfortable double bed (W140cm) with a bedside table and lamps. A built in closet has hanging space for clothes.
The adjoining modern bathroom has a spacious shower, washbasin and mirror, heated towel rail, washing machine and hair dryer.
Other facilities include a baby cot, iron and ironing board and a fan. Linen and towels are provided.
NEIGHBORHOOD
The apartment is located in the south of the Latin Quarter near the famous street market in rue Mouffetard in a residential area that abounds with cafés and restaurants. The Jardin du Luxembourg is 10-15 minutes walk and the Seine and Notre Dame are 20 minutes walk.
Nearby places of interest include the Paris Mosque, the Jardin des Plantes and Natural History Museum, the Pantheon (the mausoleum where Victor Hugo, Zola and Jaurès lie to rest), the Arènes de Lutèce (the site of the antique Roman arena), the Manufacture des Gobelins (tapestry museum) and the Cluny museum (Roman baths and medieval history). Otherwise, just sit on the terrace of a nearby café and watch the world go by !
